Maximus is seeking a FULL TIME Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support our IRS client in a remote capacity. Candidates must have an active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) and at least five years of relevant experience, including IBM COBOL, DB2, CICS, SQL, JCL, and batch processing.

Responsibilities include designing, coding, unit testing, documentation updates, reviews, testing, and providing guidance to teammates.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) required.
• At least four (4) years of IBM COBOL programming experience.
• Experience with DB2 and IBM DB2 utilities.
• Experience with CICS.
• Preferred: IRS processing systems, SQL, JCL, and Batch processing.

• Lead development of software solutions meeting business requirements.
• Design, code, and review IBM COBOL modules.
• Update documentation (FSP/PRP, diagrams) as needed.
• Perform unit testing and troubleshooting; support production issues.
