Job summary

WSP USA is hiring High Voltage Substation Inspectors to support our Fort Worth, Abilene or Waco Texas locations. The role offers remote work from a mutually agreeable location and may involve up to 100% travel to project sites.

You will perform field inspections, collect data, verify conformance with plans and codes, and prepare concise reports. A strong background in construction inspection and technical writing is required, with licensure and a valid driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 9 years of relevant post-education experience in construction inspection.
• Essential professional licensure/certification(s).
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Knowledge of construction inspection principles, codes, and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze data from the site, surveys, blueprints and drawings for inspections.
• Use survey instruments and test equipment to verify conformance with plans, specs, and permits.
• Provide technical guidance on inspection, construction, safety and compliance practices.
• Document progress and issues with clear reports using photos, sketches and calculations.
• Assist with risk identification and coordination of field work with teams.
