Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a High Voltage Substation Inspector for Fort Worth, Abilene, or Waco locations. This role offers up to 100% travel with option to work remotely from mutually acceptable locations.

Responsibilities include field inspections, documenting findings, and supporting engineers and project managers to ensure compliance with plans and codes. Requires 9+ years of construction inspection experience, a valid driver's license, and relevant licensure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 9+ years post-education construction inspection experience.
• Valid state driver’s license and licensure/certifications.
• Strong knowledge of construction inspection principles, codes, and record-keeping requirements.
• Analytical mindset with sound judgment in evaluating situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections on construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and requirements.
• Generate accurate documentation including reports, calculations, and drawings.
• Provide technical guidance and assist in risk identification and mitigation.
• Lead or assist inspection activities; coordinate with engineers, PMs, and contractors.
• Attend pre-construction meetings and assist with progress reviews and payments.
