Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a High Voltage Substation Inspector to support the Fort Worth, Abilene or Waco Texas locations, with potential remote work and up to 100% travel. You will inspect construction projects, ensure compliance with plans, specs, and codes, and document findings with photos and calculations.

You will support engineers and project managers, write technical reports, and mentor entry-level inspectors while maintaining safety and quality standards across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 9+ years post-education inspection experience in the discipline.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Professional licensure/certification(s).
• Well-defined knowledge of inspection principles and codes.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections on construction projects and document findings.
• Evaluate conformance with plans, specs, and codes.
• Generate technical reports with photos, calculations, and drawings.
• Support project teams and communicate with contractors.
• Assist with risk identification and work planning.
• Provide guidance to entry-level inspection staff.
