Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) seeks a mid-level to senior Contracts Administrator to independently manage the full lifecycle of prime contracts and task orders, subcontracts AMA awards to other companies, and agreements under which AMA performs as a subcontractor. The role supports NASA and DoD programs with strong focus on FAR/DFARS compliance and cost analysis.

Based in Huntsville, AL with hybrid or remote options for qualified candidates; citizenship or permanent residency required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mid-level: 5+ years in contracts or subcontract administration.
• Senior-level: 8+ years with independent management of complex agreements.
• FAR/DFARS knowledge and prime/subcontract experience.
• Experience with cost-type, fixed-price, and labor-based contracts.
• Strong commercial contract and subcontract experience.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Responsibilities

• Monitor prime contracts, delivery orders, and task orders from pre- to post-award.
• Support proposals, review solicitations, and identify risks.
• Serve as main contact with Government contracting personnel and teaming partners.
• Assist program reviews with contract status, funding, and compliance data.
• Coordinate review and approval of terms and legal sufficiency of documents.
• Manage subcontracts through full life cycle, including negotiations and closeout.
• Prepare RFPs and evaluate subcontractor proposals with cost analyses.
• Administer contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders per FAR/DFARS and CPSR requirements.
• Review and negotiate commercial agreements including MSAs and NDAs.
• Interpret clauses, assess risks, and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with Finance and Program Management on cost overruns.
• Maintain complete contract files and monitor deadlines.
