Job summary

Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) seeks a mid-level to senior Contracts Administrator to independently manage the full life cycle of prime contracts and task orders, subcontracts AMA awards to other companies, and agreements under which AMA performs as a subcontractor. Strong government contracting knowledge is required for NASA/DoD programs.

This position is located in Huntsville, AL; however, hybrid or remote work arrangements may be considered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, contracts management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Mid-level: 5+ years of progressive contracts or subcontract administration experience.
• Senior-level: 8+ years with independent management of complex agreements and negotiations.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and contract flowdowns.
• Experience administering cost-type, fixed-price, and labor-based contracts and subcontracts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and administer prime contracts, orders, and task orders through life cycle per FAR/DFARS.
• Support proposal and bid preparation, reviewing solicitations and specs to identify risks.
• Serve as point of contact with Government contracting personnel and teaming partners.
• Coordinate review and approval of terms and legal sufficiency of documents.
• Manage subcontracts from definition to closeout.
• Prepare RFPs and evaluate subcontractor proposals with cost analyses.
• Administer government and commercial contracts in accordance with applicable terms.
• Coordinate with Finance and Program Management to resolve cost overruns.
• Maintain accurate contract files and monitor deadlines.
