Job summary

Zoom is seeking a Senior Accountant on the General Ledger team to own the full accounting lifecycle for Internal Use Software and Cloud Computing Arrangements. The role partners with Engineering, FP&A, IT and Finance to ensure accurate recording and reporting while exploring AI-driven automation across the controllership function.

This remote-first, hybrid role emphasizes close processes, financial reporting, and balance sheet integrity in a high-impact environment.

Qualifications

Solid working knowledge of US GAAP and end-to-end close cycles.
Experience with accrual accounting, cost allocations, and journal entries.
Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel.
Experience using AI-powered tools to automate accounting tasks.
Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Support the accounting lifecycle for IUS and CCA, including capitalization tracking and journal entries.
Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation and automate where possible.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
Prepare monthly/quarterly variance analyses with FP&A.
Assist with financial reporting packages and close processes.
Ensure SOX/compliance and ASC 350-40 controls are tested.
Support audits and provide PBC schedules and evidence gathering.
Collaborate on AI tools, automation, and ERP improvements.
