Job summary

Zoom is seeking a Senior Accountant on the General Ledger team to own the full accounting lifecycle for Internal Use Software and Cloud Computing Arrangements. You will partner with Engineering, FP&A, IT, and Finance to ensure accurate recording, reporting, and balance sheet integrity in a remote-first environment.

You will drive close processes, support audits, and explore AI-driven automation to transform controllership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years in progressive accounting, including public company exposure.
Strong US GAAP knowledge with full close cycles (month/quarter/year).
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) and advanced Excel; able to handle large data sets.

Responsibilities

Own the accounting lifecycle for Internal Use Software (IUS) and Cloud Computing Arrangements (CCA).
Prepare and post journal entries including accruals and allocations with documentation.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate reconciling items.
Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analyses with FP&A.
Support financial reporting packages and management P&L summaries.
Contribute to SOX controls testing and audit coordination.
Collaborate with IT/Engineering on AI-driven tools and ERP improvements.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase automation.
