Job summary

Zoom, a remote-first company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the full accounting lifecycle for Internal Use Software and Cloud Computing Arrangements on the General Ledger team. You will partner with Engineering, FP&A, IT, and Finance to ensure accurate reporting and drive automation in the controllership function.

The role emphasizes US GAAP compliance, SOX controls, and collaboration across multiple finance functions, with a strong focus on process improvement and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including at least 2 years in a public company environment.
• Solid working knowledge of US GAAP with hands-on accrual accounting and close cycle.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel for large datasets.
• Experience leveraging AI-powered tools and automation to accelerate accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the accounting lifecycle for IUS and CCA including capitalization tracking and journal entries.
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation and automate where possible.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts in line with US GAAP.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analyses and collaborate with FP&A.
