Zoom is seeking a Senior Accountant on the General Ledger team to own the full accounting lifecycle for capitalized software, including Internal Use Software and Cloud Computing Arrangements. You will partner with Engineering, FP&A, IT, and Finance to ensure accurate recording and reporting while driving automation in a remote-first, hybrid environment.

The role emphasizes SOX controls, ASC 350-40, and involvement in external/internal audits.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including at least 2 years in a public company environment.
• Solid working knowledge of US GAAP with accrual accounting, cost allocations, and full close cycles.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or SAP) and advanced Excel with large data sets.

Responsabilidades

• Own the accounting lifecycle for Internal Use Software (IUS) and Cloud Computing Arrangements (CCA), including capitalization tracking and journal entries.
• Post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments with supporting documentation; improve automation where possible.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts under US GAAP; investigate reconciling items.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly variance analyses; partner with FP&A to explain P&L and balance sheet movements.
• Prepare and assemble reporting packages including P&L summaries and schedules.
• Ensure SOX controls and ASC 350-40 compliance; perform control testing.
• Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes; support internal/external audits.
• Collaborate with IT to evaluate AI-driven tools and ERP improvements; support testing.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance data quality.
