Job summary

Zoom is seeking a Senior Accountant on the General Ledger team to own the full accounting lifecycle for Internal Use Software and Cloud Computing Arrangements. You will work across Engineering, FP&A, IT, and Finance to ensure accurate recording and reporting in a remote-first, company-wide hybrid environment.

In this role you will support close processes, financial reporting, and balance sheet integrity, while leveraging AI tools to transform controllership workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including 2+ years public company
• Solid US GAAP knowledge with accruals, cost allocations, close cycle
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) and advanced Excel
• Experience leveraging AI-powered tools and automation in accounting
• CPA license or active candidacy; public company experience preferred
• SOX 404 compliance knowledge; ASC 350-40 familiarity

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting lifecycle for Internal Use Software and Cloud Computing Arrangements
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting docs; improve automation
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts per US GAAP
• Prepare monthly/quarterly variance analyses with FP&A
• Support financial reporting packages and schedules
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX and policies; support audits
• Contribute to monthly/quarterly/annual close and audit activities
• Collaborate with IT to evaluate AI-driven tools and ERP improvements
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase automation
