Job summary

Zoom is seeking a Senior Accountant on the General Ledger team to own the full lifecycle of capitalized software accounting (IUS/CCA) and contribute to close processes, reporting, and balance sheet integrity. You will work closely with Engineering, FP&A, IT, and Finance in a remote-first environment.

The role emphasizes governance, ASC 350-40 knowledge, and process automation, with opportunities to influence finance operations and ERP improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in progressive accounting, including public company exposure.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and month/quarter/year-end close experience.
• Experience with accruals, cost allocations, and reconciliations.
• CPA licensure or active candidacy preferred; SOX familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting lifecycle for capitalized software (IUS/CCA) under ASC 350-40.
• Post journal entries, accruals, allocations, and adjustments with support.
• Maintain reconciled balance sheet accounts per US GAAP.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly variance analyses with FP&A.
• Support financial reporting packages and management P&L summaries.
• Ensure SOX controls and policy compliance; assist audits with evidence.
• Collaborate with IT and Engineering on AI/tools and ERP improvements.
• Identify opportunities to increase automation and data quality.
