Job summary

Zoom is seeking a Senior Accountant for the General Ledger to own the full lifecycle of capitalized software accounting, including Internal Use Software and Cloud Computing Arrangements. You will partner with Engineering, FP&A, IT, and Finance in a remote-first, hybrid environment and influence automation in the controllership function.

In a high‑impact role, you will maintain balance sheet integrity, prepare journal entries and monthly closes, and support audits while advancing US GAAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with 5+ years in progressive accounting.
• Public company experience preferred.
• US GAAP accruals, cost allocations, and full close cycle experience.
• Experience leveraging AI-powered tools and automation in accounting.
• CPA license or active candidacy; SOX 404 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting lifecycle for IUS and CCA, including capitalization tracking and journal entries.
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation and automation enhancements.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts per US GAAP; resolve reconciling items.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly variance analyses; partner with FP&A on P&L/BS fluctuations.
• Support financial reporting with P&L summaries, variance analyses, schedules.
• Ensure SOX and ASC 350-40 compliance; perform control testing.
• Contribute to monthly/quarterly/annual close; assist audits with PBC.
• Collaborate with IT to evaluate AI/tools and ERP improvements.
