Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Acquisition & Onboarding team within the Consumer org. This high-impact role sets technical direction, drives architecture, and elevates full stack delivery across mobile, web, and backend systems.

You will mentor engineers, define long-term tech strategy, and partner with product, design, and analytics to improve first experiences, conversion, and business growth. This remote-first role offers strong compensation.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Experience leading mobile initiatives and architecture definition.
Experience with React Native or native mobile, and Swift/Kotlin for cross boundaries.
Experience shipping web apps with React or Vue.
Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
Backend experience with Python/Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
Strong communication and collaboration in global teams.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team and guide engineers through ambiguity.
Collaborate with product, design, and analytics throughout the lifecycle.
Own operations: monitoring, on-call playbooks, and incident response.
Identify and lead solutions to project, process, technology or business issues.
Monitor and improve team artifacts with metrics and proactive escalations.
Set and improve code review and design standards across teams.
Mentor and develop team members through feedback and example.
