Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join the North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. You will work independently on complex projects and lead teams through all phases, developing group capabilities and ensuring on-time delivery.

You will develop standards, manage budgets, and mentor staff while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering; Masters preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) with fire protection exam.
• Strong knowledge of Building codes and NFPA standards; UFC preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; CFD tools (FDS/ASCOS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead large projects of high complexity.
• Conduct building/fire/life safety code reviews.
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
• Lead design development through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, etc.
• Coordinate project teams with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with Business Development activities and proposals.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects.
