Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. Lead high‑complexity projects from concept through delivery, supervising staff and collaborating with clients, consultants, and vendors.

You will develop standards, manage scope and budgets, and contribute to BD activities. Requirements include a bachelor’s in fire protection engineering, 10+ years of experience, PE or NICET IV, and strong knowledge of NFPA/UFC, Revit, AutoCAD, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field; Masters preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in fire protection or NICET Level IV.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA standards and UFC is preferred.
• Experience leading high-complexity projects and supervising staff.
• Proven ability to develop technical reports and present findings to clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, high-complexity projects and manage multiple concurrent engagements.
• Perform building fire/life safety code reviews and analyses.
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
• Guide design development through sketches, models, diagrams, etc.
• Lead project coordination meetings with clients and consultants.
• Mentor staff and oversee QA/QC on projects.
• Contribute to business development and proposal efforts.
