Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. You will work on large, high-complexity projects and lead a team through all phases, ensuring client satisfaction and on-time delivery by applying up-to-date fire safety engineering practices.

The role requires responsibility for design development, code compliance, cost estimation support, and business development activities, with strong focus on mentorship and quality control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related engineering discipline; Master’s preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in fire protection or NICET Level IV.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex projects and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants.
• Conduct building, fire, and life-safety code reviews and analyses.
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
