Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. You will work independently on large projects of high complexity, and as a leader of a team or project through all phases of a project lifecycle.

You are responsible for assisting with the development and growth of a fire protection engineering group equipped with up-to-date engineering and design tools and innovations, technical and supervisory capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience.
• P.E. license with fire protection discipline.
• Knowledge of Building codes and NFPA standards.
• CFD modeling experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead large projects of high complexity.
• Conduct building/fire/life safety code reviews and analyses.
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams and external parties.
• Provide supervision and mentoring to staff.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects.
• Support business development activities.
• Develop project scope, budget, and design approach.
