Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Proposal Manager for our Enterprise Proposal Center to lead federal proposal development in a remote US role. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and ensure compliance from inception to delivery.

Your experience with FAR/DFARS, complex proposals, and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance will drive winning bids, while mentoring junior staff and refining processes to improve win rates.

Qualifications

• Typically 12+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree or 8+ years with Master's degree
• Experience managing large-scale, complex proposals for federal government agencies
• Comprehensive understanding of FAR and DFARS regulations
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
• Must be able to travel to on-site meetings for active proposals up to 10%
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the proposal development process including kickoff meetings, strategy development, writing, editing, and review phases with milestones.
• Collaborate with capture managers, technical SMEs, pricing teams, partners, and compliance officers to gather and write proposal content.
• Develop proposal schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, and mock-ups.
• Ensure proposals comply with RFP requirements, format, and submission guidelines.
• Mentor and train junior proposal staff and oversee the Pink/Red Team processes.
