Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Proposal Manager to lead the Enterprise Proposal Center and oversee the full lifecycle of federal proposals in a remote US role. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, craft compliant content, and drive strategy to win competitive bids.

The role requires extensive experience with FAR/DFARS, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree or 8+ years relevant experience with Master's degree.
• Experience successfully managing large-scale, complex proposals for federal government agencies.
• Comprehensive understanding of federal procurement processes and related regulations, including FAR and DFARS.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
• Must be able to travel to on-site meetings for active proposals up to 10%.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the proposal development process from kickoff to submission, ensuring milestones are met.
• Collaborate with capture managers, technical SMEs, pricing, partners, and compliance officers to gather and write proposal content.
• Develop proposal schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, and mock-ups.
• Ensure proposals are fully compliant with RFP requirements, format, content, and submission guidelines.
• Oversee Pink Team and Red Team processes, incorporating feedback and revisions promptly.
• Oversee production and submission of final proposal documents, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Monitor and report proposal status, issues and risks to senior management.
• Conduct post-submission debriefings and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Work on significant, complex issues requiring evaluation of intangibles.
• Mentor and train junior proposal staff; participate in strategic planning for proposal development.
