Job summary

Cribl seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a remote-first, cross-functional team of SDETs ensuring the quality and reliability of Cribl products from design to release. This hands-on leadership role drives testing strategy, automation, and end-to-end quality across pipelines and deployments.

You will partner with product and engineering managers, optimize CI/CD, and coach a distributed team to deliver high-quality software in a dynamic AI era.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industry experience in software engineering
• 4+ years in a technical leadership role
• BS CS/EE or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Own the quality strategy across Cribl products and communicate metrics for data-driven prioritization of the team's roadmap
• Lead continuous improvement in test automation, CI stability, defect prevention, root-cause analysis, and escape-rate reduction
• Continuously optimize end-to-end pipelines for both quality and velocity, removing bottlenecks for people and agentic workflows
• Foster a customer-first mindset by analyzing failures to close the testing gap with deployments
• Establish a strong partnership with product management and engineering managers to ensure quality standards are implemented from the start
• Coach, mentor, and grow a remote-first team of test engineers focusing on agentic workflows
