Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a remote-first, cross-functional team of SDETs responsible for quality and reliability across Cribl products. This hands-on leadership role drives test strategy from design to release and partners with product and engineering managers to embed quality from the start.

You will coach a remote team, advance automation, and optimize pipelines for both quality and velocity, while aligning with data-driven roadmaps and customer deployments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in testing strategy and quality metrics for SaaS products.
• Thorough understanding of the SDLC and agentic development.
• Strong knowledge of test architecture, automation, CI/CD, observability, release management, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with AI-developed tests and workflows.
• 10+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality strategy across Cribl products and communicate metrics for data-driven prioritization of the team's roadmap
• Lead continuous improvement in test automation, CI stability, defect prevention, root-cause analysis, and escape-rate reduction
• Continuously optimize end to end pipelines for both quality and velocity, removing bottlenecks for both people and agentic workflows
• Foster a customer first mindset by continuously running failure analysis to close the testing gap with customer deployments
• Establish a strong partnership with product management and engineering managers to ensure quality standards are implemented from the start
• Coach, mentor, and grow a remote-first team of exceptional test engineers focusing on agentic workflows
