Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a remote-first, cross-functional team of SDETs responsible for the quality and reliability of all Cribl products. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes building quality into the software lifecycle, defining testing strategy from design to release, and driving improvements in test automation and CI stability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in establishing testing strategy and defining quality metrics.
• Thorough understanding of the SDLC and agentic development changes.
• Strong knowledge of test architecture, automation, CI/CD, observability and release management.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality strategy across Cribl products and communicate data-driven metrics.
• Lead continuous improvement in test automation, CI stability, defect prevention, root-cause analysis, and escape-rate reduction.
• Continuously optimize end-to-end pipelines for quality and velocity.
• Foster a customer-first mindset by analyzing failures and closing testing gaps.
• Partner with product management and engineering managers to implement quality standards from the start.
