Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking an accomplished Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team.

You will contribute technically as well as in leadership, guiding cloud-native microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and secure, scalable deployments on AWS. You will partner with product teams to balance priorities, manage technical debt, and drive risk-informed decisions while shaping long-term platform growth and customer impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in agile multidisciplinary teams, designing and building cloud platforms
• Production-grade cloud-native microservices with RESTful APIs (Java/Spring Boot)
• Relational DBs with PostgreSQL using JDBC/ORM
• DevOps experience (Jenkins CI/CD) and AWS cloud services
• Strategic thinking on trade-offs and roadmapping
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Write code and perform code reviews
• Review technical specifications and architectures
• Partner with cross-functional product teams to mitigate risks
• Guide planning, estimation, prioritization, and tech debt balancing
• Review architectures and designs from other teams
• Collaborate with leadership to grow projects
