Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex electrical construction projects, owning P&L, contracts, and client relationships. You will collaborate with branch leaders and field teams to execute strategies that optimize margins and deliver exceptional client experiences.

The role requires a track record of delivering mission-critical or multi-phased projects, mentoring junior PMs, and coordinating across engineering, BIM, and procurement functions.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of progressive experience in electrical construction, service operations, or related project-based environments.
• Proven experience independently leading large-scale, high-value projects from initiation through closeout.
• Demonstrated accountability for project financial performance, including budget development, forecasting, and margin optimization.
• Experience leading contract strategy, change orders, and issue resolution in complex projects.
• Demonstrated success managing executive-level client relationships and long-term account development.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of large, complex projects or multiple programs, aligned with contract requirements and financial objectives.
• Own and manage project/portfolio P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin protection.
• Develop and implement project strategies across multiple workstreams and teams.
• Serve as primary executive contact for clients, general contractors, and stakeholders; maintain long-term relationships.
• Guide contract strategy, negotiation, and resolution of change orders and disputes.
• Drive productivity, cost control, and risk management to protect schedule and margin.
• Oversee procurement for major equipment, subcontractors, and long-lead items.
• Mentor Project Managers and teams to build organizational capability.
• Coordinate across field operations, engineering, BIM, and service groups for integrated delivery.
• Identify enterprise risks and lead executive-level reporting on performance.
• Support business development through client retention and pursuit involvement.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across projects.
