Job summary

Turnitin in Chicago is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to drive pre-sales activities for higher education and secondary education customers. You will lead product overviews, demos, and technical discussions, collaborating with Product, Marketing, and Sales Enablement to support launches, RFPs, and customer inquiries.

This role requires 7+ years in EdTech or Enterprise SaaS, strong presentation skills, and the ability to coordinate across global time zones to support a growing, global team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales or Technical Consulting in EdTech or Enterprise SaaS.
• Strong consultative selling and presentation skills with ability to explain technical concepts to executives.
• Experience managing technical evaluations, POCs, and RFP responses in complex sales.
• Ability to work across global time zones for One Team collaboration.
• Experience with LMS, LTI standards, and REST APIs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist with customer meetings including product overviews, demos, and workflow discussions.
• Partner with product, marketing, and Sales Enablement to support launches and RFP inquiries.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations to higher education and secondary education customers.
• Resolve technical product inquiries and advise on integrations during RFP/RFI processes.
• Develop business cases and value-focused presentations to influence buying decisions.
• Manage client trials, pilots, and proofs of concept with clear evaluation criteria.
