Job summary

Affirm seeks a Senior Director of Product Management to lead and scale the teams behind Loans Lifecycle and Money Movement within its Financial Platform. You will own the multi-year product strategy for foundational loan systems and global money movement infrastructure, ensuring scalability, compliance, and rapid product innovation.

You will build and mentor a PM team of 6–10, define roadmaps, and partner with Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Client Success to deliver impactful,

Qualifications

• 15+ years of product management experience, including people management
• Deep experience in loans or lending systems and platform architecture
• Experience in money movement, payments infrastructure, or financial operations
• Experience in fintech/banking; knowledge of BNPL or backend infra is a plus
• Ability to set and execute long-term platform strategy in fast-moving environments
• Strong technical fluency with data models and API discussions
• Proficiency with AI-assisted tools to accelerate work
• Track record of building/scaling distributed PM teams
• Excellent stakeholder management across Legal, Finance, Engineering, and executives
• Outstanding written and verbal communication; data-driven storytelling
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing PM team of 6–10 (incl. people managers)
• Own the vision and multi-year strategy for Loans Lifecycle and Money Movement
• Translate vision into roadmaps and decisions teams can execute against
• Serve as the executive-level SME on loan lifecycle mechanics and payment rails
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, and Client Success
• Architect platform strategies to enable international expansion
• Define success metrics and ensure reliability/accuracy of critical systems
• Regularly present strategy and tradeoffs to senior leadership
