Job summary

Colliers Global Occupier Services seeks an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to support a large multinational client. You will serve as the subject matter expert on cost estimation, assisting PMs and the real estate team with budgets, schedules, and value engineering.

This role requires international project experience, knowledge of industrial construction costs, and proficiency in BIM, CostX, and related tools; remote work from listed US locations is available with flexible collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cost estimating and management (pre- and post-contract).
• Special knowledge of cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and related factors.
• Ability to review and challenge cost plans for quality and accuracy.
• Understanding of contract types (Design-Bid-Build, Design & Build, cost-plus, BTS-Lease).
• International experience on industrial construction projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with BIM and cost databases; familiarity with RIB iTwo or CostX.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost management processes for projects.
• Guide and support PMs by defining budgets based on project requirements and codes.
• Identify significant cost risks and mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates across project life-cycle stages from early to detailed.
• Evaluate cost control measures and review forecasts to safeguard budget and cash flow.
• Leverage cost and time-efficient construction methods to deliver on time and budget.
• Support PM in value engineering, pricing, and negotiations with the general contractor.
• Collaborate closely with PM for overall project success and client growth targets.
