Job summary

Colliers Global Occupier Services seeks an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to support a large multinational client. You will guide cost estimation across pre- and post-contract stages and work with PMs and the real estate team to define budgets and procurement strategy.

This role requires international project experience in industrial construction, proficiency with BIM, CostX, iTwo, and MS Office, and the ability to challenge cost plans and drive value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Cost Estimating and Management (pre-contract and post-contract) required.
• Special knowledge in typical cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and related cost factors.
• Ability to critically review and challenge cost plans for quality and accuracy before management approval.
• Understanding of contract types (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Cost-plus, BTS-Lease) for consulting teams.
• Must have international experience working on industrial construction projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with BIM and cost databases.
• Familiarity with tools like RIB iTwo or CostX.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain processes for cost management across projects.
• Oversee internal construction activities for Client worldwide, assisting PMs with budgets and procurement strategies.
• Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates through all project life-cycle stages from preliminary to detailed.
• Evaluate cost control measures and review forecasts to safeguard budget and cash-out plans.
• Apply cost and time-efficient methods to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Support PMs with value engineering, price and claim negotiations with General Contractor.
• Collaborate closely with PMs to ensure project success and client growth targets.
