Job summary

Lob is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to advise on complex commercial agreements, privacy, and regulatory matters across Product, Engineering, and Revenue teams. The role focuses on enabling scale for Lob’s SaaS platform and broader business operations.

Responsibilities span drafting, negotiation, privacy program leadership, and strategic compliance initiatives, in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house.
• Juris Doctor and active membership in good standing with at least one state bar.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS risks and contracts.
• Ability to handle high-volume work and make quick risk-based decisions.
• Experience advising People/HR on employment matters and managing litigation with outside counsel.
• Experience supporting supply chain, logistics, and shipping.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements including enterprise SaaS, partnerships, and vendor contracts.
• Advise Product and Engineering throughout the product lifecycle with regulatory, IP, and contractual considerations.
• Advance data privacy strategy, translate GDPR/CCPA into actionable practices, and negotiate data processing agreements.
• Oversee corporate compliance programs, policies, and targeted vendor audits.
• Develop scalable legal workflows and self-service templates to accelerate execution.
• Partner with General Counsel on special projects and strategic initiatives.
