Job summary

Lob is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to join our legal team and serve as a trusted advisor to Revenue, Product, Engineering, and Partner Operations. You will lead drafting and negotiation of enterprise SaaS and vendor contracts, shape data privacy programs, and drive scalable legal workflows.

Collaborate with GC on strategic initiatives to help Lob scale responsibly. The role requires 5–7+ years of legal experience (in-house preferred), a JD, bar admission, and strong SaaS risk

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience, with a strong preference for in-house work.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in good standing.
• Familiar with risks and business issues in an enterprise SaaS environment.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business advice.
• Experience advising People/HR on employment lifecycle matters and coordinating with outside counsel.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements including enterprise SaaS, partnerships, and vendor contracts.
• Advise Product and Engineering across the product lifecycle, addressing regulatory, IP, and contractual considerations.
• Drive data privacy strategy, perform impact assessments, and negotiate data processing agreements.
• Oversee corporate compliance programs, create internal policies, and conduct vendor audits.
• Develop scalable legal workflows and self-service templates to accelerate execution.
• Collaborate with General Counsel on special projects and broader strategic initiatives for Lob.
