Job summary

Lob is seeking a Corporate Counsel to partner with key business units including Revenue, Product, Engineering, and Partner Operations. You will draft and negotiate complex enterprise agreements, advise on product development from a legal and regulatory perspective, and shape data privacy and compliance programs across our growing direct mail and tech-enabled platform.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• Familiar with risks in enterprise SaaS environments.
• Ability to manage a high volume of work autonomously and provide practical business advice.
• Experience advising People/HR on employment lifecycle matters.
• Experience supporting SaaS with physical products and with supply chain operations.
• Experience managing capitalization tables and equity programs using Carta.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements including enterprise SaaS, partnerships, and vendor contracts.
• Advise Product and Engineering throughout the product lifecycle, addressing regulatory, IP, and contractual concerns.
• Drive data privacy strategy, assess privacy frameworks, and negotiate data processing agreements.
• Oversee corporate compliance programs, establish policies, and conduct vendor audits to embed standards.
• Develop scalable legal workflows, templates, and cross-functional playbooks to accelerate execution.
• Collaborate with the General Counsel on special projects and strategic initiatives.
