Lob is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to partner with Revenue, Product, Engineering, and Partner Operations, drafting and negotiating complex agreements while guiding privacy and compliance initiatives. The role emphasizes scalable legal workflows and proactive risk management.

Ideal candidates have 5–7+ years in-house, a J.D., and a strong track record in SaaS, data privacy, and employment matters, with the ability to translate legal concepts into business guidance.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active-state bar.
• Experience advising on enterprise SaaS, privacy, and IP.
• Ability to translate legal concepts into business advice and make risk-based decisions.
• Experience advising People/HR on employment lifecycle matters and coordinating with outside counsel.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements (enterprise SaaS, partnerships, vendor contracts).
• Advise Product and Engineering during product development lifecycle with regulatory, IP, and contractual guidance.
• Own data privacy strategy, risk assessments, and DPA negotiations.
• Oversee corporate compliance programs, internal policies, and targeted vendor audits.
• Develop scalable legal workflows and self-service templates to accelerate execution.
• Collaborate with General Counsel on special projects and broader strategic initiatives.
