Job summary

Lob seeks a Corporate Counsel to join our legal team and serve as a trusted advisor to Revenue, Product, Engineering, and Partner Operations. You will draft and negotiate complex contracts, guide privacy initiatives, and shape regulatory compliance as we scale.

Expect to partner with cross-functional teams, manage high-volume work autonomously, and contribute to strategic projects with the GC. Lob offers remote opportunities and a competitive total compensation package.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of relevant legal experience, with a strong preference for in-house experience.
• D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one state bar.
• Familiar with the range of legal risks and business issues that come up in an enterprise SaaS environment.
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of work autonomously and translate complex legal concepts into practical business advice.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements (enterprise SaaS, partnerships, vendor contracts).
• Advise Product and Engineering through the product lifecycle, addressing regulatory, IP, and contractual considerations.
• Drive data privacy strategy, conduct impact assessments, and negotiate data processing agreements.
• Oversee corporate compliance programs, establish internal policies, and align third-party ecosystems with standards.
• Develop scalable legal workflows, templates, and cross-functional playbooks to accelerate execution.
• Partner with the General Counsel on special projects and strategic initiatives.
