Job summary

RTX is seeking a highly skilled controls systems engineer to support the Precision Control Actuation System (PCAS) organization. The role involves developing actuation control architectures, implementing advanced control laws, and verifying performance through hardware tests and simulations.

Locations include Tucson, AZ or Huntsville, AZ. The candidate should have a STEM degree with extensive experience in flight actuation control and system development, with ability to work autonomously and

Qualifications

Typically requires STEM degree with 8+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
A minimum of 8 years in air vehicle or missile flight actuation control design and analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop flight actuation control system architectures and implement advanced control laws.
Design hardware test setups and execute tests for verification against requirements.
Analyze air vehicle performance in simulation, ground, and flight tests.
Develop high-fidelity motor and gear train models with nonlinearity and temperature effects.
Create and execute test plans to verify performance against requirements.
