Job summary

RTX is seeking an expert controls systems engineer for the Precision Control Actuation System (PCAS) to support development, build, and verification of control actuation systems. Location options include the PCAS locations in Tucson, AZ or Huntsville, AZ.

The role requires autonomous work with advanced knowledge of air vehicle gear train dynamics, flight motor control, and nonlinear control techniques. Applicants should have extensive experience in actuation system design and test execution.

Qualifications

Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
8+ years in air vehicle or missile flight actuation control design/analysis.
Experience with control architecture design and requirements development.
Familiarity with embedded software development and hardware/software integration.

Responsibilities

Develop flight actuation control system architectures and implement advanced control laws.
Design hardware test plans and conduct verification against requirements.
Analyze air vehicle dynamics, motor control, and test data.
Collaborate with IPT teams and senior leadership to align on program goals.
