Job summary

RTX is seeking an expert controls systems engineer for the Precision Control Actuation System (PCAS) to support development, build, and verification of control actuation systems. Role may be staffed at Tucson, AZ or Huntsville, AZ locations, with opportunities for hands-on hardware work and high‑level system integration.

You will develop control architectures, implement advanced control laws, and perform test plan execution across simulation, ground, and flight testing.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience in air vehicle or missile flight actuation control design and/or analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop flight actuation control system architectures and implement advanced control laws.
• Design and execute hardware test plans and data analyses for control actuation systems.
• Analyze air vehicle gear train dynamics, motor control, and servo performance in simulation and flight tests.
• Coordinate with Integrated Product Teams and deliver independent work with periodic oversight.
