Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager, Preconstruction, to lead Testing & Commissioning activities for PV, BESS, and HV from BD through LNTP. You will develop proposals, plans, and schedules, coordinate with Preconstruction, Engineering, and Contracts, and ensure deliverables meet contractual requirements.

The role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular in-office presence in the San Diego, CA Office. Specific location details will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in commissioning utility-scale electrical or renewable-energy projects.
• Experience reviewing EPC contracts, commissioning exhibits, specifications, and acceptance requirements.
• Proven experience developing commissioning estimates, schedules, and plans.
• Strong understanding of PV, BESS, HV, and SCADA commissioning interfaces.
• Lead cross-functional teams and drive timely decisions.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, technical writing, and client-facing communication.
• Experience in EPC preconstruction, proposal development, or commissioning contract administration preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Own the commissioning workstream from BD through LNTP.
• Coordinate inputs from SCADA, Performance Engineering, PV, HV, BESS SMEs.
• Review EPC contracts and commissioning exhibits for obligations and acceptance.
• Develop and present SOLV's commissioning requirements to clients.
• Lead handoff to CPM & Portfolio Delivery with complete documentation.
• Travel as needed for project visits.
