Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager, Preconstruction, to lead Testing & Commissioning for PV, BESS, and HV from BD through LNTP. You will define scope, develop estimates, and craft schedules in collaboration with Preconstruction, Engineering, and Contracts teams.

The role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular in-office work in San Diego, CA. A strong background in EPC preconstruction, commissioning, and contract administration is required, with 8+ years in utility-scale

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in commissioning utility-scale electrical or renewable-energy projects.
• Proven experience reviewing EPC contracts, commissioning exhibits, specifications, and acceptance requirements and translating them into executable project commitments.
• Proven experience developing commissioning estimates, schedules, and plans, including coordination of internal teams, testing providers, OEMs, and project stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Own the commissioning workstream during BD and through contract execution, serving as the primary T&C point of contact and coordinating inputs.
• Partner with Preconstruction and SMEs to integrate commissioning scope, estimates, and schedules.
• Represent Testing & Commissioning during EPC contract reviews focusing on exhibits, specifications, and owner requirements.
• Lead the development and presentation of SOLV’s commissioning requirements to clients and internal teams.
