Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager, Preconstruction to lead Testing & Commissioning for PV, BESS, and HV from BD through LNTP. You will own estimates, schedules, and contract exhibits, partnering with Preconstruction, Engineering, and Operations to deliver a unified commissioning package.

Remote or hybrid work is possible with regular in-office presence in the San Diego, CA office; location details will be discussed in interviews.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in commissioning utility-scale electrical or renewable-energy projects.
• Experience reviewing EPC contracts, commissioning exhibits, specs, and acceptance requirements.
• Proven experience developing commissioning estimates, schedules, and plans with internal teams, testing providers, OEMs, and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of PV, BESS, HV, and SCADA commissioning interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own the commissioning workstream during BD through LNTP and coordinate technical, commercial, estimating, and planning inputs.
• Represent Testing & Commissioning during EPC contract reviews and identify obligations, milestones, and interfaces.
• Lead development and presentation of SOLV’s commissioning requirements to clients; align expectations and resolve deviations.
• Maintain a commissioning requirements register linking contractual obligations to deliverables and due dates.
