Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager, Preconstruction, to lead Testing & Commissioning activities for PV, BESS, and HV from BD through LNTP. You will define scope, estimates, schedules, and associated exhibits, coordinating with Preconstruction, Engineering, and Contracts to ensure contractual compliance and aligned commitments.

The role offers remote or hybrid work with regular in-office presence in the San Diego, CA office.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in commissioning utility-scale electrical or renewable-energy projects.
• Proven experience reviewing EPC contracts, commissioning exhibits, specifications, and acceptance requirements.
• Ability to develop commissioning estimates, schedules, and plans with internal teams, testing providers, OEMs, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the commissioning workstream during BD through contract execution and LNTP, coordinating all inputs.
• Integrate commissioning scope, estimates, and schedules into project development and planning.
• Lead development of commissioning plans, exhibits, and acceptance criteria aligned with contract requirements.
• Drive commissioning exhibits during contract negotiations and resolve conflicting requirements with BD, Preconstruction, and Legal.
• Present SOLV’s commissioning requirements to clients and resolve project-specific deviations.
