Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager, Preconstruction, to lead Testing & Commissioning activities for PV, BESS, and HV from BD through LNTP. You will own estimates, contract requirements, and the baseline commissioning schedule, coordinating with Preconstruction, Engineering, Field Ops, and customers to deliver a unified plan.

This role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular in-office presence in the San Diego, CA Office; travel and site support may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in commissioning utility-scale projects.
• Experience reviewing EPC contracts, commissioning exhibits, etc.
• Proven experience developing commissioning estimates, schedules, and plans.
• Strong understanding of PV, BESS, HV, and SCADA commissioning interfaces.
• Lead cross-functional teams and drive timely decisions across projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Own commissioning workstream from BD through LNTP and coordinate inputs.
• Coordinate inputs with Preconstruction, SCADA, Performance Engineering and SMEs.
• Represent T&C in EPC contract reviews and ensure acceptance criteria.
• Develop and present SOLV’s commissioning requirements to clients.
• Maintain commissioning requirements register linking obligations to deliverables.
• Handoff to CPM & Portfolio Delivery with open risks and decisions.
