Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Experience building highly available distributed systems with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with workflow orchestration frameworks like Airflow, Flyte, Prefect, Temporal, Luigi, etc.
• Experience scaling Spark/Flink on Kubernetes for large datasets.
• Ability define a technical delivery plan with elegant, extensible design and write high-quality code.
• Proven ownership of growth and willingness to seek feedback from team and stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication for collaboration with a global team.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Own quarterly goals for your team and lead engineers through ambiguity to deliver.
• Collaborate with product management, design and analytics in ideation and decision-making.
• Proactively identify and lead solving project, process, technology or business issues.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts; monitor metrics and on-call duties.
• Foster a culture of quality by setting code review and design standards.
• Develop talent by providing feedback and guidance to teammates.
