Job summary

Gallagher Animal Management is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead US market growth for eShepherd, our groundbreaking virtual fencing solution. You’ll own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close, engaging ranchers, producers and partners, and translating challenges into growth.

You’ll work in a senior, hands-on capacity, leveraging agricultural credibility to shape market strategy and close opportunities while collaborating with Gallagher’s broader livestock tech

Qualifications

• Proven business development or key account experience within a solution-selling environment.
• Demonstrated ability to identify prospects and convert opportunities into closed sales.
• Experience working with ranchers and/or agriculture.
• Knowledge of AgTech solutions.
• Becomes credible in agriculture and beef cattle management.
• Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously across multiple opportunities.
• Experience in a high-growth or scale-up environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and target new business opportunities.
• Own the sales journey from prospecting to proposal, negotiation and close.
• Build trusted relationships with ranchers, producers and industry partners.
• Position eShepherd around customers' operational needs.
• Develop opportunities through networking, engagement and follow-up.
• Lead or support key account opportunities, tenders and distribution agreements.
• Maintain CRM discipline, pipeline visibility and accurate forecasts.
• Collaborate with Customer Success for smooth onboarding and ongoing support.
• Provide market feedback on pricing and competition to Sales, Product and Marketing.
• Contribute to brand-building through industry relationships and speaking opportunities.
