Job summary

Gallagher’s eShepherd team seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to expand US markets, partnering with ranchers, producers and stakeholders. You will turn opportunities into closed sales, owning the full cycle from prospecting to deal close.

This senior role requires agribusiness credibility, solution selling skills, and the ability to work autonomously across multiple opportunities with a market-facing mindset.

Qualifications

• Proven business development or key account experience within a solution-selling environment.
• Demonstrated ability to identify prospects and convert opportunities into closed sales.
• Experience working with ranchers and/or personal experience within agriculture.
• Knowledge of AgTech solutions and beef cattle/grazing management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and strategically target new business opportunities.
• Own the sales journey from prospecting to proposal, negotiation and close.
• Build trusted relationships with ranchers, producers, partners, distributors and stakeholders.
• Understand ranch operations and position eShepherd around commercial and operational needs.
• Develop opportunities through networking, prospecting, engagement and follow-up.
• Lead or support key accounts, tenders, contracts and distribution agreements.
• Maintain CRM discipline, pipeline visibility and accurate sales forecasting.
• Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth handover from sale to onboarding.
