Job summary

eShepherd, Gallagher’s bold venture, is expanding in the United States and seeks an experienced Business Development Manager who can drive commercial growth with ranchers and industry partners. You’ll own opportunities from first conversation through close, building credibility in agriculture and shaping how we go-to-market in the US.

This senior, hands-on role offers a base salary between $105,000 and $120,000 with a 20% annual bonus, plus incentives.

Qualifications

• Proven business development or key account experience within a solution-selling environment.
• Ability to identify prospects and convert opportunities into closed sales.
• Experience working with ranchers and/or personal experience within agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a quality pipeline across your market.
• Lead sales journey from prospecting through to proposal, negotiation and close.
• Build trusted relationships with ranchers, producers, partners, distributors and industry stakeholders.
• Understand ranching operations and position eShepherd around commercial and operational needs.
• Develop opportunities through networking, prospecting, industry engagement and follow-up.
• Lead or support key account opportunities, tenders, contracts and distribution agreements.
• Maintain CRM discipline, pipeline visibility and accurate sales forecasting.
• Collaborate with Customer Success for smooth handover from sale to onboarding.
