Job summary

Gallagher’s eShepherd is seeking a senior Business Development Manager to fuel US growth. Based remotely with travel across the Great Plains, you will cultivate opportunities, manage rancher relationships and drive commercial growth from prospecting to close.

You’ll bring proven BD or key account experience in agriculture, plus knowledge of AgTech and strong negotiation skills. A competitive package awaits in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Proven business development or key account experience within a solution-selling environment.
• Demonstrated ability to identify prospects and convert opportunities into closed sales.
• Experience working with ranchers and/or in agriculture.
• Knowledge of AgTech solutions.
• Interest in beef cattle and grazing management.
• Strong commercial judgement, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and maintain momentum across multiple opportunities.
• Experience in a high-growth or scale-up environment.
• Ability to think strategically and then turn that thinking into action.

Responsibilities

• Identify and target new business opportunities.
• Own the sales journey from prospecting to proposal, negotiation and close.
• Build trusted relationships with ranchers, producers, partners, distributors and stakeholders.
• Understand ranching operations and position eShepherd to meet commercial and operational needs.
• Develop opportunities through networking, prospecting and industry engagement.
• Lead or support key account opportunities, tenders, contracts and distribution agreements.
• Maintain CRM discipline, pipeline visibility and accurate sales forecasting.
• Collaborate with Customer Success for a smooth transition from sale to onboarding and ongoing success.
• Bring pricing insights and competitive activity back to Sales, Product and Marketing.
• Help build the eShepherd and Gallagher brands through industry relationships and speaking opportunities.
