Job summary

Gallagher’s eShepherd is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the US Great Plains. Based remotely with travel, you will transform rancher challenges into commercial opportunities, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.

You will combine agriculture credibility with commercial drive, shaping the market for a breakthrough virtual fencing solution backed by Gallagher. Competitive compensation includes a base salary and bonus.

Qualifications

• Proven business development or key account experience within a solution-selling environment.
• Ability to identify prospects and convert opportunities into closed sales.
• Experience working with ranchers or in agriculture.
• Knowledge of AgTech solutions.
• Interest in beef cattle and grazing management.
• Strong commercial judgement, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and maintain momentum across multiple opportunities.
• Experience in a high-growth or scale-up environment.
• Ability to think strategically and turn thinking into action.

Responsibilities

• Identify and target new business opportunities in the market.
• Own sales journey from prospecting to proposal, negotiation and close.
• Build trusted relationships with ranchers, producers, partners and stakeholders.
• Understand ranching operations and position eShepherd to meet commercial needs.
• Develop opportunities through networking and active follow-up.
• Lead or support key accounts, tenders and distribution agreements.
• Maintain CRM discipline, pipeline visibility and accurate forecasts.
• Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth transition from sale to onboarding.
