Hy-Vee is seeking a Seafood Service/Meat Manager to lead the Meat Department, ensure freshness and quality, and manage staff and schedules. You will train employees, uphold company standards, and maintain optimal product displays while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in a grocery meat department, and a commitment to safety and sanitation practices. This full-time position reports to store leadership and collaborates with perishable teams.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent experience required.
• Food safety training is required.
• Over three years up to five years of similar or related work experience.

• Maintains a positive attitude; creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
• Generates a friendly atmosphere by encouraging employees to greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Sets the department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, addressing them by name when possible.
• Assists customers by guiding them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading heavy items, and noting customer suggestions for improvement.
