Hy-Vee Inc. is seeking an Assistant Meat Department Manager in the Meat department. This role supports the Department Manager in delivering fresh, high-quality products and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

The candidate will assist with scheduling, training, and daily operations, ensuring freshness, proper storage, and adherence to safety standards. Previous meat department experience is preferred, with strong teamwork and leadership abilities.

• Proven ability to provide prompt, friendly customer service and support.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Experience with food safety practices and handling.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Department Manager to present fresh, high quality products at competitive prices.
• Provide courteous customer service and greet customers in a friendly manner.
• Learn customers' names and address them by name when possible.
• Assist customers by guiding to products, taking orders, and processing requests.
• Train new employees and supervise in absence of the Department Manager.
• Ensure department standards, freshness, rotation, and proper storage procedures.
• Carry out cutting, weighing, labeling, and wrapping as required.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to company policies.
